The department has developed infrastructures including the following new laboratories –

1. Computing Laboratory – I

   Thirty Nos. of Intel Pentium Core2Duo @ 2.2 GHz,  1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 RAM, 160 GB 7200 rpm HDD systems with Windows XP based operating systems are available in this laboratory. All the systems are under local area network for accessing 2 GBPS Internet connection provided by the university. This laboratory meets the need of conducting sessional such as Visual Basic, Visual C++, Fox Pro, MS Access, Internet and Web Design, Computer Graphics, Java under windows based platform. The lab is also equipped with a HP server.

   

2. Computing Laboratory – II

   The laboratory is networked with 40 Nos. of HP Intel Core i7 @3.4 GHz, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, 500 GB 7200rpm HDD, Windows 8 Professional OS (406 G1) desktops. Various sessional such as Operating System, Computational, Data Structure, etc are conducted in this laboratory.

   

3. System Programming Laboratory

   The laboratory is networked with 35 Nos. of Intel Pentium IV  @  3.0 GHz, 256 MB DDR RAM, 80 GB Ultra DMA SATA 7200 rpm IDE HDD, Red Hat OS  Hyper Threading PC nodes  under RHEL 3.0/4.0 Platform. Some Linux based software such as gcc, g++, java are available for the students’ sessional use.

   

4. Simulation Laboratory

   The laboratory is well equipped with 30 Nos. of Intel Core i7 processor under Windows 8 Platform. Open Source Software such as Dev C++ is installed for simulating the computer organization experiments. Other simulators such as 8085, 8086 simulators for assembly language program, gcc, g++ and java are available for the students’ sessional use.

   

5. Computer Organization Laboratory

   The laboratory is well catered with the training equipment for learning the various aspects of computer organization.  The training modules available under this lab are:-

   RAM Trainer Kit (15 Nos.), ALU Trainer Kits (15 Nos.), Computer and SMPS Kit (02 Nos.), Hard Disk Controller Kits (15 Nos.), Printers and Scanner Trainer Kits (02 Nos.) RTC and Temperature Measuring Kits (15 Nos.).

   Moreover, this laboratory is equipped with 18 No.s of  Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.4GHz, 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM, 500 GB 7200 rpm HDD, Windows 8 Professional OS installed with licensed Proteus Software (25 users) for conducting sessional like Digital System, Computer Organization, etc.

   

6. Ph.D. Research Scholars’ Laboratory

   TFourteen Nos. of Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.4GHz, 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM, 500 GB 7200 rpm HDD PCs with Ubuntu operating systems are available in this laboratory for the research work of Ph.D. students which is open for almost 12 hours. All the systems are networked with Local Area Network for accessing 2 GBPS Internet connection.

   

7. TM.Tech Research Scholars’ Laboratory

   The laboratory is well equipped with 20 Nos. of HP ProOne 400 G1 Intel Core i3 4130, H8 Chipset, 4GB DDR-3 500GB HDD, 20’ wide LED monitor all in one PC under Linux OS. This lab is exclusively dedicated for the M.Tech scholars to carry out their research work.
