Considering the future needs to upgrade the state-of-the-art R&D activities, the University has laid strong emphasis on generation of resources and active collaboration with National/ International industries and R&D organizations. 

Sponsored Research & Industrial Consultancy (SRIC), a special R&D Cell, and Continuing Education Programme (CEP), a special academic development cell,  was set up in 2011 as an interface between funding agencies and the University to run sponsored research projects, industrial consultancy assignments, seminars/ conferences, staff development programmes, remedial coaching classes and short term courses.
