Think Beyond Energy - National Renewable Energy Quiz under Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026
The Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026 (BRESE 2026), being organised under the aegis of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, is envisaged as a major national and global platform for advancing India's renewable energy transition. Scheduled to be held from 2 nd to 5th November 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, BRESE 2026 carries forward the legacy of the earlier RE-Invest series and will bring together global leaders, policymakers, investors, innovators and other stakeholders working towards India's clean-energy future.
Recognising the importance of bringing India's young generation into this national conversation, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy MNRE together with National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI), as a Knowledge Partner, is organising “RE:Think - Think Beyond Energy (f)", a National Renewable Energy Quiz as part of the national outreach programme associated with BRESE 2026.
RE:Think has been conceived as a pan-India initiative to engage young minds with renewable energy, climate action, sustainability and India's clean-energy ambitions. The objective is not only to create awareness, but also to encourage curiosity and informed engagement among students with the developments shaping India's energy future.
The College Student category is open to students aged 17 to 25 years, with two students participating as a team. The indicative themes include solar energy, wind, hydro and bioenergy, green hydrogen, battery storage, rooftop solar, floating solar, agrivoltaics, Government initiatives such as PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana and PM-KUSUM, climate and sustainability, and everyday energy awareness. The quiz will be conducted in English and Hindi.

The quiz and the associated participation mechanism will be hosted through the official website of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, and the relevant details will be made available through the Ministry's website ( https://mnre.gov.in). Colleges and eligible students may accordingly be requested to follow the official MNRE website for the quiz-related information and participation process.

Appropriate certificates and recognition will also be provided to qualifying and finalist participants, as per the final award and certificate structure.
The Grand Final at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, will bring together qualifying college student teams as part of the wider BRESE 2026 programme.
Institutions may kindly be encouraged to share the opportunity with eligible students and facilitate the participation of interested teams.
The participation of students from across the country would significantly strengthen the outreach of the initiative and help foster an informed and engaged generation of young citizens who understand the importance of renewable energy and India's transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.
